I have tons of cookbooks, but none are vegan because I'm just now gravitating in that direction.
If you were to recommend your favorite(s), what would they be? What I'm looking for is 'the classics' from vegans in the know. Thanks!

Fri, December 12, 2008 - 12:52 PMDitto to Veganomicon!! I love it - their "cashew ricotta" is AWESOME. I used it in the pumpkin casserole they had a recipe for - it was TO DIE FOR!! I've used it a few times now, with great results. I'm planning on using it for christmas dinner at my parents' house. -

Fri, December 12, 2008 - 10:42 PMVeganomicon is rad. I also like Vegan with a Vengeance (same author), and Voluptous Vegan (more complicated, fancy pants dishes) -

Re: Your Favorite Vegan Book(s)?
Thu, December 25, 2008 - 12:10 AMHands down one of the BEST restaurant experiences I have ever had. The food was incredible, the service was great, and well... just wow.
I've heard the dishes can be a little complicated in Eric's recipes, but really, they're worth it. If you ever go to SF, JZ, and want to check it out TELL me and I will connect you with my sister. She is a regular there, and has the inside scoop. :)
I like to read this blog... her vegan pizzelles are SO delicious!

Re: Your Favorite Vegan Book(s)?
Fri, December 26, 2008 - 2:08 PMOh my god. I just went to Millenium on Sunday. That was such an amazing meal!! They ended up sending us home with house made truffles and cookies, on the house (not very good on either account, but I'm biased.) The meal...I can't say enough good things about it!! -
